About Us
Together, a group of school kids form a group in order to revolutionise writing. Among the group, Alex, Arnav, Josh and Thomas; all of which are high school kids studying at the ASMS. Growing up in Adelaide, the markerbot group knew there were not that many local opportunities in technological areas; this not only created a drive to help expand these industries, it influenced them to create a product which could revolutionise the meaning of ‘handwritten’.
The team attends the ASMS; while brainstorming ideas for a school project, we thought of creating the markerbot; An efficient way of printing handwritten text on paper. Not only did we brainstorm the ideas of the marker bot itself, we also discovered an avenue into uploading handwriting templates so that the printer can mimic it. Although this project started as a school assessment, it has grown to become far greater.
During a long session of brainstorming we thought the name of this product would be a graphite printer. However after careful thought 2 weeks before the deadline, we made an abrupt change to markerbot. We believe that this change would make the markerbot more popular in search results and increase traffic to their website.
We have a kickstarter page: .Here you can support our endeavour and perhaps get your hands on your own Markerbot. When the donation goal has been reached we are almost certain that the markerbot will become available. One day markerbot may actually become available in the market this would be absolutely amazing, our group will feel incredibly privileged and feel very thankful for your contributions.
The group consists of 4 members; we divide the workload accordingly and work well as a team. The group consists of, Alex the lead designer and creator of the software and application that marker bot will use. Josh is the lead designer of the website; however all of the group work together to complete written text, construction and designing.
The application we are currently using is designed by Alex, and is able to mimic any handwriting. The app is embedded onto our website and is available to everyone. Different settings are available which increase the accuracy of the final printing. We recommend users to have a graphics tablet/touchscreen ability on their computers. This will help with accuracy of handwriting, and will help the printer mimic human handwriting. We also have another application, this is the one we will use to draw shapes and drawings. It is also currently compatible with the latest prototype and is able to create small shapes.
Our team are dedicated to fulfilling all of your needs, we will treat our customers with the utmost respect and help whenever and however we can. Our kickstarter project will help to fund this project and will turn the dreams of four teenage boys into reality.
